Imagine yourself floating down the Wyoming’s Snake River with sun sparking on the water, a cool breeze in your hair, and the majestic Grand Teton Mountains watching over you in the distance. You can have that and more on the Grand Teton Lodge Company’s guided two-hour Raft Trip down the Snake River.
For ten miles along the river boat ride , their tour guides will show you amazing Teton views, share in-depth knowledge about the local flora and fauna, and provide close-ups of Wyoming’s amazing wildlife, including bald eagle, moose, bison, elk, osprey, and beavers.
You’ll especially love the Snake River trip where you’ll stop off at the Snake River Overlook for a beautifully prepared private dinner of locally-caught fresh river trout and charbroiled steaks, along with salad, potatoes, corn, green beans, rolls, cornbread, and cobbler.
The rafts are large, and can accommodate 20 people, including 2 of the company’s expert guides, who lead you on the most relaxing, and beautiful two-hour trip. The guides are energetic, knowledgeable, and great with kids. Visitors should be aware, however, that there is a fairly decent walk from the bus to the dinner. Though it’s a level walk, anyone with mobility challenges should be aware that you will be walking on a dirt road.
Gather at the Jackson Lake Lodge, and you’ll be taken to the raft by us. Plan to arrive a few minutes early so you can enjoy the view from the lodge. Lunch Trips are 4 hours long and are scheduled daily and depart at 9:00 am or 11:30 am; dinner trips are also 4 hours long and are scheduled on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 4:30 pm. Prices for the lunch and dinner trips are just under $75 for adults and about $55 for children.
