A visit to the Heart Six Dude Ranch just outside the Grand Teton National Park will have you in the comfortable in the saddle and shouting “Yeehaw!” in no time.
A Trip Advisor visitor favorite, the Heart Six Ranch matches guests with an individually-chosen horse from among their herd of over 100 so you’ll have the perfect fit for your riding ability. Even children aged 3-5 have the opportunity to learn to ride on Heart Six Ranch’s ponies.
As a guest at this beautiful ranch, you’ll find the excitement and challenge of building a relationship with one the world’s most majestic animals, in one of the most tranquil and awe-inspiring areas of the Grand Teton region. Guests should expect to develop a very special relationship with their horse, built on patience and respect. In fact, the most frequent comment that guests say is that they wish that they could stay longer!
When you’re not in the saddle, guests can participate in many other ranch activities like archery, fly fishing on the Buffalo River, taking a scenic float down the Snake River, or participating in some of the evening family-fun entertainment.
You’ll love relaxing at the Heart Six Main Lodge where you can grab a drink or a fresh-baked cookie, prop your feet up by the fireplace, and chat with fellow guests. Curl up in a cozy chair, grab a book off the shelf, or start a game of pool. The Main Lodge is open all night long, so guests can always feel free to relax, or grab a bite to eat. Lunch and dinners are ample and delicious, and guests are treated to a great continental breakfast provided at no cost.
The ranch is located approximately halfway between Jackson, Wyoming and the south entrance of Yellowstone Park and you’ll love the views of the winding Buffalo Fork River from your room. The ranch is older but seems well maintained, and the rooms were well appointed and clean.
